As a pharmacist at Hillcrest Medical Center, I have the opportunity to make an impact on patient care. We have the ability to work with physicians and nurses in clarifying orders and preventing medication errors. It’s especially rewarding when we detect a drug allergy, drug interaction or dosing error and are able to use our training and experience to modify a drug treatment plan to fit a patient’s individual needs and provide a greater standard of care.
The people at Hillcrest Medical Center are pleasant and easy to work with. My co-workers are always willing to provide assistance however they can or answer any questions one may have. At Hillcrest, we complete a month of training under the supervision of another experienced pharmacist, resulting in a streamlined transition to a staff pharmacist position.
