I’ve worked at Hillcrest my entire nursing career. I started out as a certified nurse assistant. It just came naturally to me, and I knew very quickly this was what I wanted to do. I decided to go back to school to become a registered nurse so I could be even more involved with my patients’ care.
I love my job because I’m always learning. It’s really important to me that I work in a place I enjoy, and I actually get excited about coming to work at Hillcrest. People are always smiling and that’s something the patients and their families pick up on. We see a lot of repeat patients on our unit. It’s a great feeling when they recognize us and tell us they appreciated our care.
